Ophthalmology practice involves an interesting combination of medical and surgical problems and treatments. Patients who are treated for various eye problems show tangible improvement, which is very rewarding for Dr. Stein.

His background in internal medicine allows him to approach eye problems from a more holistic perspective than most ophthalmologists without that experience. He has also undertaken medical missions to Haiti since 2011.
During those visits his eye team has created sustainable eye care in the city of Cap Haitien by working with the Haitian ophthalmologists to improve their knowledge and skills.

Dr. Stein’s personal interests include playing piano and golf and attending theater, music and dance performances in New York.
